“Classic Scooby-Doo” represents a traditional pose of Scooby-Doo, who is the lead character in the longest running cartoon series in television history.
-
“Classic Scooby-Doo” began life as a drawing by Scooby-Doo creator Iwao Takamoto. The drawing was hand-inked by Helene Hartman. Dennis Durrell rendered the background, also drawn by Iwao
Takamoto.
-
The appropriateness of this pose is important for when “Scooby-Doo” was developed, the cartoon intended to be about a crime-solving dog with humans as the supporting cast.
-
“Classic Scooby-Doo” is stamped with both the Hanna-Barbera and Iwao Takamoto design seal.
-
Originally released at the Warner Bros. Studio Stores in 2000.
